Our business was started back in 1976 when Bob Sr. purchased a marina on Back River in Essex, MD.  It was started with the goal in mind to create a local dealership that would provide quality products, outstanding customer service and a great work environment for its employees.
 

Bob, Sr. is "semi" retired today, but his business principles and philosophies flow through every level of the organization.  Numerous family members make up some of the management team today, as they have since 1976.  There are eight active family members working at Riverside Marine today.

As each new generation emerged, new ideas came with them, keeping Riverside fresh and attentive to our customer's needs and wants.  This, combined with a dedicated staff allowed Riverside to grow and expand to several new locations during the 1990's.  During this time we became the exclusive dealer for Bayliner, "America's Favorite Boat", in the Maryland and Washington DC area, covering the Chesapeake Bay.
 

Today, we carry several quality lines of boats that will fill the need of the first-time boater, to the third, fourth, and fifth time boater, they are Bayliner, Crownline, Trophy, Sea Fox, and Sundance boats.  If you are looking for a new or used bowrider, cuddy cabin, cruiser, sport boat, deck boat, or fishing boat, you can be assured we've got it on display!  Our goal has always been to have the inventory in-stock and on premise for you to look at, climb in, and get a feel for, the right boat for you and your family.

Over the years Riverside has received numerous industry awards in sales and service, our most coveted award being the NMMA and Brunswick Five Star Certifications.  The Five Star Dealer Certification is the Brunswick foundation distinction for dealers, reserved for those dealers who meet Brunswick and Marine Industry's higher standards of operation excellence.  To qualify, dealers must pass 80 best practice requirements across every area of their business.  The result is an ownership experience that customers can truly rely on.  We are dedicated to provide our customers with a consistently superior experience every time they visit our dealership.  Customers will know when they see the Brunswick and Industry dealer certification logos in the window that we care about their boating experience and that we stand behind them as they head out on the water.
